Don Pate's 1947 Chevy
Aero Sedan (Fleetline)

Thanks to Don I now have my own Chevy Aero

The Building of a Champion

Don found his car
Well he got her home and most of the pieces are there.

"Bullet holes" This just shows what can happen to an old that was left sitting around the back field too long.
 3
And the door made a good target too.

That old six just has to go

Some things had to be cut down to size for a good fit
A 1988 Chevy tuned port after a good cleaning and before the polishing and paint with clear coat

This looks much better.
Note the power break too. If you're going to go fast you have to be able to stop.

This looks like fun.
This is the under dash wiring harnass.
And this one is the computer wiring harness.
The 700R4 ready to be torn down
The bottom of a 700R4 with all the oil passages, looks like it's going to be fun
The front & inside look at the 700R4 after it's clean up
This is the brain to the whole thing
Now he has to make the roll pan & the 3rd stop lite
It's still a pushing machine at this point.

Another day and another gallon of primer
Don is starting up the cutting torch to make a little more room for the roll pan and on the front
Notice my high dollar gas bottle

Now Don can sit down once in a while.

Push it out in the driveway.

Push it back inside again for another coat of primer

Looks like he needs more bond-o and primer
on this door
There will be no more pushing,
"SHE RUNNING NOW"
Looking into the trunk area.

It's not a very large area, sure hope it will hold
all of his wife's suit case's

At this point the main concern is, can he remember where every thing goes??
The left side of the factory dash before any rework

The right side of the factory dash before any rework
A new set of up to date gauge's will be put here

And when it is done it wont look like this any more

The interior is nearing completion but needs
a good cleaning
Now that's better and the clock worked great
It came out of a Pontiac from the 80s

The new factory gauge's are from a 82 Oldsmobile

The hand made roll pan & 3rd stop lite
